Tomb of seven people（Shichi-nin Baka)〔七人墓〕

In 1693 (Genroku 6), a ship, which was transporting stockpiles of rice for the Edo shogunate (government) from Echigo (Niigata Prefecture), encountered rainstorms and was shipwrecked off the coast of Yokoshima, Ozushima. The six crew members from the Shimabara feudal domain (Nagasaki Prefecture) were found dead. The Shichi-nin Baka is the tomb dedicated to the dead crew members.
