Ozushima〔大津島〕
A remote island where a relaxed time flows.
Ozushima is located 10km southwest of Tokuyama Port.
Part of the island has been designated as the Seto Inland Sea National Park, where you can enjoy nature to the fullest with great views and scenery.
Ozushima is also known as the site of the remains of the base of the Kaiten, a human torpedo deployed during the Pacific War.
This is the only place in Japan where the remains of the Kaiten training base remain.
Along with the Kaiten Memorial Museum, it is a place to convey to future generations the importance of life and the preciousness of peace.
